Police arrest 3 armed robbers at Madina

The Accra Regional Command has arrested three armed robbers, who attacked residence of Madina in Accra.

Joseph Avorga, 19, Richard Larbi, 24, Stanley Ativi, 24, in police custody assisting investigations, who wielding pistol and machetes, attacked complainants and made away their household items.

The items one  iPhone, MPs players, a camera, wrist watches, busy wifi, Surfline, seven pen drives, Vodafone modem,  zyro mobile phone, one  battel phone, HTC mobile phone, Intel tablet, and GH¢10, 000.

Briefing the Ghanaian Times, the Accra Regional Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) George Alex Mensah, said on June 29, 2018, the police had information that a house in Madina was under attack.

He said a police patrol team from Madina police proceeded to the area, and received information that the robbers, who were armed with a pistol and machetes, attacked complainants, locked them in a room and made away with their items and fled the scene.

 

DCOP Mensah said the police arrested the suspects, and retrieved three laptops, cash and iphones and other phone accessories from them, adding that the suspects confessed to the crime.
