PLB introduces software for League

plb bossThe Premier League Board (PLB) has introduced the Competition Management System (CMS) software which would among other things ensure an efficient gathering of data at the various league centers.

Launching the First Capital Plus Premier League in Accra yesterday, PLB Boss Welbeck Abra Appiah announced that, the CMS would improve the management and distribution of information as fixtures and details of registered players would be saved in the system for easy access.

He added that, cautions received by players on each match day would be recorded in the system as well as the league table would be managed with the new system.

According to him, “the system would be a plus for the league as it would allow accuracy with statistics of players and rapid reports would be made available online by referees.”

He stressed that, following the delay of the league, second window registration has been opened and entreated clubs to submit the names of players to that effect.

The PLB Capo added that, two matches would be shown by Supersports on each match day and some matches would also be played outside the normal weekends including Fridays and Wednesdays, together with other competitions.

In addition he said, there would be a pitch side analyst engaged by Supersports to analyze matches as games are played.

He also encouraged coaches and players to allow pre and post- match interviews to make the work of the media very easy and also promote the league.

Head of Corporate Affairs at First Capital Plus Bank, Nana Yaw Kesse said the sponsors are excited that the league would finally begin after the nagging court issues.

He therefore urged the media to support and promote the league to the highest level, while encouraging supporters to troop to the various league centers to watch the game.

According to Mr. Kesse, “I look forward to an exciting season and urge Ghanaians to patronize the league as it our won brand and we need to ensure its growth.”

The league is set to begin at all the league centres this weekend with very exciting matches.
