A disability-friendly playground was inaugurated for pupils of Mamprobi Basic School in Accra yesterday.
The ultra-modern facility was a collaboration between the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) and Transit Education, a Turkish company that deals in clothing and educational materials.
Inaugurating the facility, the Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), Mr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, advised the school authorities to take good care of the facility.
He said physical education enhanc the psychological, social mental aptitude of school pupils, assuring that the Assembly would provide similar facilities in other schools.
The AMA boss entreated parents to invest in the education of their wards as it remains a tool for economic empowerment.
The Assemblyman of the Mamprobi Electoral Area, Mr. Gideon Ofori Attah, thanked the AMA for providing the facility and completing other projects.
