The man of God, who is also a farmer, Vincent Tettey was convicted on his own plea of guilty.
The court presided by Abena Adjin Doku, in delivering her sentence said, Tettey being a pastor should have known right from wrong, and, therefore, sentenced him to 20 years imprisonment in hard labour.
The prosecutor, Detective Inspector Kofi Atimbire, told the court that the complainant is a farmer and pastor, whereas the accused is also a farmer and a man of God.
He said the complainant, who is the father of the victim, had been friends with the accused and lived for the past 25 years in a single room in their church mission house at Domeabra, in the Greater Accra Region.
Detective Inspector Atimbire said, on February 6, 2017, at about 1am the complainant went to Kasoa, leaving her daughter at home.
According to the prosecution, the accused upon realising the complainant was not around, took advantage of the daughter and defiled her.
The prosecutor said upon his return, the complainant became aware of the situation and caused the arrest of the accused.
