Otoo Leaves Belgium For Norway

otoo2Mahatma Otoo’s proposed move to Club Brugge has fallen through after Hearts of Oak refused to allow the 21-year-old to try out with
the Pro League side and the striker has left Belgium.

He has eventually arrived in Norway and is set to sign for a yet-to-be-named club if he passes medicals. Otoo arrived in Bruges a fortnight ago and underwent medicals twice (Monday and Saturday) while holding training sessions with club’s second
string side.

According to initial agreement between Hearts and Brugge, the powerful attacker was to undergo medicals and sign a four-year contract but after the Brugge coach wanted to further assess his qualities before making a
decision on him.

Hearts of Oak, who own the Ghana international striker, have refused to allow him stay on trials and have shipped him to Norway where top-flight clubs are eager to secure him.

Ghana FA Vice President Fred Crentsil travelled with the striker to Belgium and he is expected to hold talks with the Norwegians between Tuesday and Thursday and official sign a deal.

A flock of top-flight European sides and an African club are on the wheels of the striker who netted 24 times
for Hearts last season with TP Mazembe tabling a whooping offer for him.

Mamelodi Sundowns officials are still hanging on to faint hopes of signing the striker and are waiting to see if Hearts would reconsider their bid.
