OMP Set To Acquire 40% In Olympics

NyantakyiMEDIA outfit, Optimum Media Prime (OMP) is reported to be set to purchase a 40% stake in newly promoted Premier League side Great Olympics.

According to our sources, OMP, owned by brothers Talal and Fadi Fattal, would splash out GH¢400,000 ($105,000) to secure the 40% stake in the club.

OMP would also purchase a team bus and two vehicles for the club, which makes a return to Ghana’s top flight for the first time in three seasons.

OMP have previously had been controlling interests in Zaytuna FC some years ago and currently owns first division outfit Sporting

*The annual GHALCA top four is in limbo with participating teams signaling their intentions to pull out due to lack of financial package.

Heart of Lions are the latest to threaten a pull out until the financial details are announced.

Ashantigold have confirmed they will reconsider their involvement if they are not guaranteed the tournament will be financially rewarding.

Champions Kotoko have questioned the timing of the tournament, leaving only Hearts as the only team without concerns.

The club’s umbrella body is struggling to raise finances for the mini tournament which has lost it steam over the last couple of years.

Current GHALCA boss Alhaji Raji has been accused of doing little to lift the sinking image of the association since he assumed office.

The GHALACA top four competition was an attractive brand under J.Y Appiah and Kudjoe Fianoo but has sunk to its lowest ebb in recent times.
