Olympique De Ngor arrive forHearts

SENEGALESE side Olympque De Ngor have arrived in Ghana ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup clash against Hearts of Oak.

The team of players and officials arrived in Accra lastWednesday evening ahead of the first leg encounter against the Phobians tomorrow.

The team were received at the Kotoka International Airport by officials of their host club and were driven straight to the Royal African Hotel where they will be lodging.

Hearts are hoping to secure a massive result in tomorrow’s game at the Accra Sports Stadium in order to render the return encounter expected in a fortnight a mere formality.

Meanwhile, Nigerien referee Gomno Daouda has been assigned for Hearts of Oak’s CAF Confederation Cup first round first leg against Olympique de Ngor in Accra.

Daouda will be assisted by compatriots Yahaya Mahamadou and Maman Raja Abba Malan Ousseini.

The match will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

In another development, Hearts have rewarded defender Shaun October for his sterling performance for the club since the start of the season.

Former Board chairman Harry Zakkour has donated a plasma TV to the South African import for emerging as the club’s best player so far.

The brilliant and consistent performance of South African importee, Shuan October, has won him an award from the management of Accra Hearts of oak.

October has earned reviews for his fine performances for the former African champions despite the side’s unflattering start.

He has emerged as their standout performer in the midst of the difficult campaign.

Ex-Hearts chief Harry Zakkour, who supervised the side’s famous tenure in the early 2000s, presented the award to the left-back at a short ceremony in Accra on Wednesday.
