The Old NAVASCANS Union, Nabia of Navrongo Senior High School (NAVASCO) in the Kassena-Nankana East Municipality of the Upper East Region on Saturday paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Navrongo Traditional Area, Pe Denis Balinia Aniakwa Asagipare II, to congratulate him on his enskinment.

 

The courtesy call on the chief at his palace at Navrongo was to climax the annual general meeting and speech and prize giving day held in the school.

 

Pe Asagipare II, a past student of NAVASCO, was enskinned as Navro-Pio in August, under the skin name Pe Asagipare II,after the death and final funeral rites of the late Navro-Pio, Pe Dr Augustine A. Adda (Asagipare I).

 

The Old NAVASCANS Union (Nabia) President,  Alhaji Mohammed Cambodia Haroun, commended Pe Asagipare II for his enskinment saying “we are proud one of us has been made the chief of Navrongo.”

 

He praised the chief for his humility and hard work and prayed to the Almighty God to continue to endow him with wisdom to discharge his work creditably.

 

Alhaji Haroun, who is the Northern Regional Director of the Ghana Education Service, enumerated  a number of past students of NAVASCO who are chiefs in other traditional areas in the country, and noted  that NAVASCO was  a great school whose past students were shining in their fields of endeavour within Ghana and globally.

 

Pe Asagipare II commended the old NAVASCANS for their role in the development of the school and urge them to continue to support the staff and management of the school to continue to make it great.

 

The Paramount Chief of the Navrongo Traditional Area is a Ghana National Fire Service Officer.
