The Headmaster of the Okuapeman Senior High Secondary School has launched its 60th anniversary celebration with a call on old students to be active in advancing support toward the progress of the school.
As part of the launch at Akropong on Saturday, the school’s anniversary logo was unveiled.
The celebration, which would be characterised by a number of activities during the year, would be climaxed with a grand durbar at the school on February 11, 2017.
Mr. Daniel Afari, headmaster of the school, commended the old students for their contribution to the development of the school, but called for more assistance to enable the school to make the desired progress.
He said the school still faced infrastructure and logistics challenges which the alumni could help to address for the benefit of the present and future generation of students.
Unveiling the logo, a former headmaster of the school, Mr. E. Awuku Offei, lauded the strides made by the school in the past 60 years, indicating that the achievements were worth celebrating.
According to him, OKUAS has been and continues to be a dynamic institution dedicated to achieving the best in secondary education and preparing students for leadership roles by employing innovative systems and effective learning resources.
Osabarima Ansa Sasraku, Chairman of the school’s Board, thanked the alumni and partners of the school for the continued assistance, and urged all stakeholders to contribute towards the success of the anniversary celebration.
