The Paramount Chief of the Nungua Traditional Council, King Odaifio Welentsi III, has congratulated the president-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on his victory in the December 7 elections, and asked him to ensure an inclusive government in his administration.
Speaking to the media during the weekend, Nii Odaifio said Ghanaians had decided and chosen a leader but government should include everyone to ensure growth and stability.
He appealed to the President-elect to form an inclusive government by appointing a minister from all political parties and sections of society.
Nii Odaifio said chiefs would support the government towards socio-economic development.
The mission of the new administration he stressed, should be putting together qualified people to implement the change agenda, and create jobs.
Nii Odaifio urged Ghanaians to burry their differences and support the incoming government.
“Ghanaians have to reconcile themselves to the Akufo-Addo presidency, because he has the ability to govern. The opposition should pledge to give the President-elect the space to put together a government,” he advised.
Nii Odaifio appealed to supporters of the various political parties which took part in the polls to avoid violence.
