The management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has withdrawn some staff recruited last December with immediate effect.
The decision was upon the advise of the education minister Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh.
This according to a statement signed by Ussif Mustapha, Acting Executive Director of the service, followed thorough consideration of violations of due process prior to the recruitment.
It said the considerations included petitions to the Public Services Commission (PSC) against the recruitment process which the PSC in a letter dated November 16, 2016 advised the former Ag. Executive Director to halt the recruitment process until the matter was properly resolved.
“This was however ignored and appointment letters were issued to some persons on December 15, 2016,” the statement said.
However, it said persons affected by the decision should look forward to a new opportunity to have the staff recruitment properly carried out.
