The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Polling Station Chairman for Apotuogya DA Primary, in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region, has been shot dead by suspected armed robbers.

Baah Tweneboah, popularly known as Agya Baah, was shot in his house around 9 p.m. on Tuesday after returning from work.

Agya Baah who worked as an Agricultural Extension Officer in Kumasi was in his early 40s.

An eye-witness, Bright Sefah Boakye Yiadom told Onua FM that Agya Baah returned from work and the moment he entered his house, three men, suspected to be armed robbers, followed him in.

Gunshots were heard a few minutes later and the NPP chairman was discovered dead.

The wife of the deceased, Esther Adomako, narrating the incident to Onua News explained that when his husband returned from work, the children rushed to open the gate for him.

She said the unknown assailants who she suspected had been trailing him, demanded he surrenders his money to them.

Madam Adomako recounted that the men then brutalised her husband, while she received heavy slaps with some of the children getting injured in the process.

Esther Adomako, who has been married to Baah Tweneboah for 14 years, recalled the husband shouted ‘his end has come’ and the next thing she saw was him lying in a pool of blood.

She said the robbers took away their phones and laptops, adding that she suspected foul play in the attack.

She said the children who got injured were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Madam Esther Adomako and Mr. Baah Tweneboah had six children: three males and three females.
