NPP man killed

The Police in Agogo in the Ashanti Region, are hunting for three persons said to have murdered a New Patriotic Party (NPP) polling station executive, who is suspected to have been strangled to death.

Relatives found Daniel Tweneboa dead in a bush, and informed the police of it.

The Agogo District Police Commander, Assistant Superintendent George Amponsah, said the police suspected foul-play.

According to him, Daniel was travelling on his motorbike around 7 p.m. on Saturday when the incident happened, adding that, his body and the motorbike were found at different locations.

“Those who carried out the murder are about two or three because it looks as if the neck was twisted. We couldn’t see any cutlass or gunshot wounds on the body,” he added.

ASP Amponsah said his outfit had launched investigations into the case, and urged anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the culprits, to assist the police.
