NPP Eulogises Late Prof Kludze

ProfA high-powered delegation comprising the national executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has paid a courtesy call on the family of the late Professor Anselmus K. P. Kludze, a retired Supreme Court Justice, at Gbi-Kpeme in Hohoe.

The delegation included Mr Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey, the National Chairman, Mr Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie, General Secretary, Papa Owusu Ankomah, the Member of Parliament for Sekondi, Mr Kenwuud Nuworsu, Volta Regional Chairman and Mr John Peter Amewu, former Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive.

Papa Ankomah described the late law luminary as a legal giant who served his country diligently and with humility and these ideals made former President John Agyekum Kufuor to appoint him to the Supreme Court.

Papa Ankomah said despite the laurels and distinctions he achieved, the late Prof Kludze  did not detach himself from his home community, adding, “In fact, he is the man of the soil.”

“He was resolute that his lifestyle and values would spur  the teeming youth on, particularly, to serve family, community and state with head, hand and heart,’ Papa Ankomah said.

Mr Obetsebi-Lamptey said the late Prof Kludze showed courage in all endeavours and his demise was a great loss to the people of Gbi State, the Volta Region, Ghana, and the world at large.

Mr Tony Condobrey, spokesman for the Amegadze Royal Family,  told the delegation that the late Prof Kludze returned from the United States with a lingering medical condition on October  3 and died  two days later.

He said he would be given a state burial on December 18 and final funeral rites is on December 21. The delegation made a donation of liquor and an undisclosed amount. GNA
