Meanwhile, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) acting General Secretary, John Boadu, explained that there is no due pressure on the President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to name his ministers.
He said in an interview that the President-elect is a seasoned politician and has an “exceptional” way to run his administration.
“Nana Addo has been in politics for so many years and has served in erstwhile Kufuor’s administration.
At the right time he will consult the party’s highest decision-making body to name his ministers. He (President-elect) has an idea of how to run his government so at the right time he will name his ministers,” he said.
Nana Akufo-Addo, postponed the presentation of a list of proposed ministers who will serve in his government to his party’s highest decision-making body on Thursday after pleading with the party to give him more time.
Speculations are rife as to who will serve in the new administration as before Nana Akufo-Addo is a large pool of experienced names to select from.
“The president-elect is spoilt for choice,” a senior member of the party stated recently.
