The Christ Apostolic Church International (CACI), Nima Assembly, has donated upholstered benches and five office chairs to the Out Patients Department (OPD) of the Nima Government Clinic, in Accra last weekend.
Apostle Richard Ohene Gyan, resident pastor of the Nima Assembly, presented the furniture worth GH¢5, 000.00 to Madam Christine Danu, matron of the clinic.
Apostle Gyan said the gesture formed part of the 45th anniversary celebrations of the assembly and asked members of the church to support the needy, poor and under privileged.
Mr. Prosper Ntiamoah, Accountant and Administrative Officer at the clinic, expressed gratitude to the church for the gesture, and gave assurance that the furniture would be placed at the OPD of the health facility.
The church had earlier on embarked on a clean up exercise to desilt choked gutters at the Nima roundabout, and tidy up the clinic.
Apostle Gyan said, as part of activities to mark the anniversary of the church, it organised a float and fun games last weekend.
He said the celebration would be climaxed by dedication of the church building on Saturday and thanksgiving service, gospel night and quiz.
