NIB donates to Ghana Blood Foundation

NIB PIXThe National Investment Bank (NIB) as part of its corporate social responsibility has donated an amount of ten thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢10,000) to the Ghana Blood Foundation.

The foundation, which is part of the Ghana Blood Service focuses on the mobilisation of blood, education of the public and researching into blood related issues. It also provides blood free of charge to beneficiaries in critical situations.

The essence of the donation is to enable the Blood Foundation to undertake its core mandate of making blood geographically and financially accessible to every patient in Ghana, who requires transfusion therapy.

Rev. Paa Ekow Quaye (Chairman of the Ghana Blood Foundation) received the cheque on behalf of the foundation from Mr. Charles Wordey, the Head of Corporate Affairs of NIB.

Mr. Wordey reiterated that the bank would continue to support stakeholders in communities in which it operates and charged the Ghana Blood Foundation to use the donation for the intended purpose only.

Rev. Quaye thanked NIB for the generous support and promised that the donation would be put to good and effective use.
