She said Ghanaians should endeavour to ensure that the peace in the country was preserved during and after the election.

“Do not allow yourselves to be used as baits and agents to promote election-related violence during the elections,”she added.

ACP Twumasi-Sarpong gave the advice during a meeting with the executive members of the Greater Accra Regional Neighbourhood Watch Committee (NWC) in Accra on Thursday.

It was to take stock of their activities and seek ways of ensuring safer communities in the metropolis.

The members were from Kpeshie, Madina, Weija, Ayikai Dobro, Accra Central, Medie, Ngleshie Amanfrom, Tesano and Chantan.

ACP Twumasi-Sarpong urged members of NWC to collaborate with the police to ensure safer communities to help promote socio-economic development.

The Regional Chairman of the NWC, Mr. Jonathan Kotoku, commended the CPD for their dedication towards improving security in the country.

He assured the CPD of their continuous support to help reduce crime in the communities.
