Hundreds of supporters and sympathisers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)have participated in a health walk at Hohoe in the Volta Region on Wednesday.
The exercise dubbed ‘Walk for Mahama 2016’ was organised by the youth wing of the party’s regional executive.
It was to sensitise party’s members and galvanise votes in the Hohoe municipality.
Numerous big wigs of the party including the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, Minister of the Interior, Prosper Bani, former Minister of Transport, Dzifa Attivor, Minister of Health, Alex Segbefia, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation and MP for the constituency, Dr. Bernice Heloo, Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Francis Ganyaglo,and Presidential Staffer Afriyie Ankrah.
Addressing participants at the St Augustine’s Park, Gyapong Cudjoe, the Volta Regional Chairman said government has began the re-construction of roads in the Hohoe township to give it new a facelift.
He said NDC is still popular in the municipality and would win the November 7 general elections.
Mr Afriyie Ankrah, expressed confidence in President Mahama’s ability to lead the country.
Egypt Kudoto, Volta Regional Youth Organiser, called for unity in the party in region, saying that the party needed the votes of every one.
