The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency in Ashanti for the 2016 general elections, Nana Asare Bediako has called on supporters of the party to intensify their campaign to enable the party win a landslide victory.
Speaking to newsmen at Nkawie, Nana Asare Bediako, who is also the Atwima Nwabiagya District Chief Executive noted that victory for the party will ensure the renewal of its mandate to govern the country for another four-year term and continue with its good works.
He called on Ghanaians to comport themselves before, during and after the elections and vote in an atmosphere of peace and understanding.
Nana Bediako also advised the supporters of the party to be tolerant even in the face of provocation.
In another development, Nana Bediako called on residents of communities around Barekese and Owabi Dams to guard against encroachers who are undertaking illegal construction of houses and establishing farms within the catchment areas of the two dams which are in the district.
He noted that the encroachment within the catchment areas of the two dams can result in the pollution or drying up of potable water which serves a number of communities in the Ashanti Region.
Nana Asare Bediako warned that the district assembly will not sit down to allow the practice to go on and offenders will be punished appropriately.
