The Greater Accra Regional delegates conference of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) has ended, with a call on members to serve as role models in the various communities they work.
The acting Regional Director, Mrs. Anastasia Zanoo, speaking at the ceremony, said the basic underlying factor of the service was development, hence the need for personnel to use their creativity and ingenuity to transform the lives of others.
Speaking on the theme, ‘The role of service personnel in national development,’ she said “the National Service Scheme (NSS) is an important cornerstone critical to all sectors of the economy so as to transform the lives of millions of youth without jobs.
Mrs. Zanoo said the scheme was not unique to Ghana, but to other African countries, as such the youth should take advantage of it and change the negatives of the society into positives.
She said the recent problem associated with the payment of their allowances was not created by the directorate, but the service personnel themselves, as they did not provide the needed details on their E-Zwich chips.
