Musah Wins 2014 Ostec Seniors Golf Open

The 26th Ostec Seniors Open musah2014 games came to a successful end at the Nsuta Golf Club of Ghana Manganese Company Limited after two days of intense competition.

Yaya Musah of Obuasi Golf Club won the main Group A Event with a Gross Score of 179, beating the defending champion and club mate Konate Seidu with 185 points.

The Handicap (Group A) was won by Pieter Brink of Tarkwa Golf Club with a net score of 164, beating Dr Felix Frempong to second place with a Net Score of 168.

The event was supported by Group B competitors, which was won by Pieter Brink of Tarkwa with a Gross Score of 175 with John Saah having 185. Other winners were Lee Mensah 161 net (Group C) and the ladies Group A was won by M. Kusi of Obuasi with 172 Gross.

The title Sponsor Ostec, a formidable local infrastructural and consulting IT Company promised future support for the event.

Ostec, was ably supported by Elbelles, Ghana Manganese Company Limited and R&A, the World Governing Body of Golf who through their “Working for Golf Programme and Ghana Golf Development Board” is supporting the development of Golf in Ghana to make it a game for all ages and genders.

The President of the Ghana Golf Association, Dr Felix Frempong expressed appreciation to the sponsors and the seniors who made it to Nsuta and implored all to support the campaign to grow the game.

Next year’s championship will be hosted by the Tafo Golf Club of Cocoa Research Institute.
