According to the FA Cup Committee (FACC), the new initiative is to broaden the scope of excitement among Ghanaian fans as the competition reaches home stretch.
The event will take place at the Grand Favour Hotel in the Harbour City with top officials expected to grace the occasion.
The round of 16 will be cleared on May 23 and 24th with the last eight expected to go into the draw two days on.
Champions Kotoko as well as Hearts, Medeama and New Edubiase are all in the race.
The winner qualifies to represent the West African country in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
In another development,, economic expert and running mate for the New Patriotic Party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on Ghanaians to rally behind local competitions if it is to be very competitive.
This was when he spoke to the media at the Wa Sports Stadiun where he had gone to watch the Elite Cup Group stage match between Wa All Stars and Berekum Chelsea last Sunday.
“I hope that as Ghanaians, we can all support the local league because it is really the future and the key to the strength of Ghana football.
“Football is an internationally competitive game, and so as players, they will leave even in the European leagues from one team to the other, one country to the other.
“I think that our local league needs more support and encouragement. We could certainly do better and I think the more people come out to support them, the more revenues they make, the more investment they can make in the clubs.
“I think the onus is on all of us , government, non-government, Ghanaians as a whole to support the local league because it is a really major part of our sports.”
