MP gives laptop computers to schools

Fuseini has presented 40 laptops computers worth GH¢35,000 to eight basic schools in the constituency, to facilitate the teaching and learning of ICT. They are the Malshegu JHS, Jisonayili Kasalgu JHS, Choggu Yapalsi JHS, Wurishe Community, Al-bahdal Kpalsi AME Zion, Shishegu Zion Primary /kg and Garizhegu JHS.

They were purchased from his share of the MPs common fund.

Making the presentation Alhaji Fuseini reiterated that ICT was now the driving force of knowledge, hence the need to build the capacities of both teachers and students, to be abreast of contemporary friends and prepare them for the world of work.

Alhaji Fuseini who is also the Deputy Regional Minister assured of his preparedness to assist schools in his constituency to teach ICT, to make their pupils competitive wherever they find themselves in future.

“The computers are not meant for the headmasters, nor the teachers nor the PTA chairman, they are meant for effective teaching and learning and teachers must not restrain the students from them,” stressed Alhaji Funseini.

He advised the students to take advantage of the computers and improve their knowledge of ICT and pass their exams in it.

He again asked them to be disciplined and take their studies seriously, and promised to have schools without electricity connected to the national grid, so they can run their electricity in their computer laboratories, as well as rehabilitate the existing computer laboratories to strengthen teaching of ICT in them.

The headmaster of Malshegu Junior High School Crysantus Dabuo thanked Alhaji Fuseini for his generosity, and effort to improve the teaching and study of ICT in the constituency.
