Mamedia Ventures, organizers of the annual Mamedia Easter Walk and Blood Donation exercise has announced that the 2019 edition of the event will be bigger and better considering the response by corporate Ghana to their request for sponsorship.
The event is scheduled for the Garden City, Kumasi, on Saturday.
Nii Maale Adsei, Chief Executive Officer of Mamedia Ventures said institutions such as MTN Ghana Foundation, SIC Insurance Company Limited, M&G Pharmaceuticals and Healthylife Beverages have all expressed their commitment towards the 2019 Mamedia Easter Walk and Blood Donation which comes under the theme – ‘Walk for Life – Kumasi’.
Also on board are the Graphic Communications Group, Everpure Company Limited, Century Drinking Water and the Sports Hotel in Kumasi.
Others including NABCO, NYA, NSS, Daddy Lumba Fun Club and the Northern sector National Supporters Union, Komfo Anokye Nursing and Midwives Training College, Kumasi Technical University and the Social and Floating Keep Fit Clubs have already confirmed their involvement with the event.
Nii Maale said the Easter festivities was the appropriate time to organize the walk due to the number of people expected to travel across the country and the world to Kumasi and added that the blood donation would go a long way to save lives.
The year’s event is in collaboration with the Ashanti Regional Blood Bank, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, KMA, The National Youth Authority, NYA and the Ashanti Regional Police [MTTU].
