The Barça superstar exacerbated a hamstring injury while playing in Argentina’s World Cup qualifier over Uruguay.
The No.10 has clarified the situation on the problem in the abductor muscle in his left hamstring by insisting everything is fine.
“Everything is fine, I have to slow things down as I recover with physio, but it’s nothing to worry about,” Messi wrote on Facebook.
Barcelona had earlier confirmed that Messi should lighten his training load in the upcoming days before his availability would be assessed depending on his progress.
The news initially suggested Messi’s involvement in this Saturday’s La Liga contest with Alaves was in doubt, as well as the Champions League opener against Celtic three days later.
But Messi, pictured on his Facebook account receiving a massage, confirmed he will continue to take physiotherapy to come back soon.
