Ms Francisca Appiah, a final year medical student of the Kwame Nkru-mah University of Science and Technology, has won a two bedroom house in the final MTN “M’afe Nie,” meaning “this is my year” promotion.
Other customers won prizes, including 32-inch LED TVs, Nokia Lumia 535 phones, Huawei Y220 phones and power banks, generator sets, airtime and Iphone 6+.
Ms. Appiah, 24, told the Ghana News Agency that, she always wanted to win a house and true to her expectations she won, expressing gratitude to management of MTN for creating the platform for her to own a house.
Mr. Noel Gamson, Acting Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Ghana speaking at the final presentation ceremony, said from the beginning of the promotion the company presented five units of houses made up of three units of three-bedroom houses and one unit of two-bedroom units houses.
He said in addition to the houses, MTN also presented six saloon cars and other prizes during the promotion including generator sets, iPhone 6+, 32 inch LED Television sets, power Banks, Microsoft Lumia 435 phones among others.
He said the promotion is another MTN experience that demonstrates the company’s focus in making lives better for its customers.
He said the campaign was initially programmed to run for 100 days beginning from March and over the 100-days, a total of 30,000 subscribers were rewarded for their loyalty to the MTN network.
He called on customers to take the opportunity to involve in the MTN internet festival and MTN Apps challenge currently ongoing.
He urged the youth, who were engaged in information communication technology (ICT) to develop and submit their locally-developed applications for the opportunity to be assisted and rewarded for their contribution to the developing the ICT space in the country.
