Medeama brightened their semi final chances of the CAF Confederation Cup yesterday with a hard fought 3-2 victory over TP Mazembe at the Essipun Stadium.
Enoch Atta Agyei scored the opener from a freekick before Moses Sarpong doubled it in the 70th minute from the spot.
But Mazembe stunned Medeama by equalising in a space of five minutes following a goal apiece from Jonathan Bolingi Mpangi and Rainford Kalaba.
Akwesi Donsu, however, slotted home the winner late in regulation time.
With the win, Medeama remains in second position with three points above MO Bejaia which lost 0-1 to Tanzania’s Young Africans on Saturday.
Medeama will need a draw in Algeria to seal qualification to the semi-final of the competition.
