Residents of Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA) in Accra, last Saturday joined the rest of the nation to undertake the seventh National Sanitation Day exercise.

They cleared choked drains, weeded bushes and swept their environs.

Places like the Nungua market, Channel 5, the Chief’s Palace and others, including the main streets, were cleared of filth.

The situation was not different at Mobile, Laskala market, police station and other areas at Teshie and its environs.

In all, it seems that the National Sanitation Exercise has gone down well with the citizens due to the zeal attached to it.
