The Council 64 and Court 59 of Marshallans, a charitable society of the Catholic Church has donated some assorted items to LEKMA Municipal Hospital at Teshie in Accra to enhance healthcare delivery.

The items included mattresses, pillows, bed sheets, detergents, cleaning brushes, mops, liquid soaps, thermometers, plastic baskets and containers.

The gesture was made by the Noble Order of Ladies of Marshall to re-affirm their believe in supporting the sick and the vulnerable in society.

The items were received by Mr. Richard Akakapo Bernstein on behalf of the hospital.

In a solemn show of gratitude, Mr. Akakapo Berntein thanked the Noble Order and pleaded that such kind offers from the Marshallans be emulated by other corporate bodies and individuals saying “we often expect that other philanthropic organisations emulate such exemplary show of love and concern to the vulnerable and the needy and should also do same to the hospital”.
