Manyo-Plange off to Philippines

Jessie Manyo-Plange has left for the Philippines ahead of his upcoming bout with Michael Dasmarinas.

The scheduled fight will come off on September 29 at the Marina Bay Sandso. At stake will be Dasmarinas’s IBO bantamweight belt.

Manyo-Plange and his trainer Dan Lartey left on Sunday afternoon.

Ahead of the fight, the two boxers have been talking tough as they have promised to undo each other.

Manyo-Plange in an interview said, “I’m ready for the upcoming fight. My aim is to win and I’m going to achieve it.”

“Dasmarinas is a good fighter no doubt about that; he is the reigning champion but I will dethrone him no matter what. I have been waiting for this opportunity and finally, I have it so I won’t disappoint my fans.”

“I will surely bring honour to Ghana.”

Dasmarinas also had something to say, “I am excited to fight again, I wish the fight were tomorrow.”

“As a boxer, I am training very hard for this next fight. I’m training as hard as the last time, but now I want to prove myself even more as a boxer, especially now, that I have the IBO World bantamweight belt with me. To my fans, please keep on supporting me; pray for me to win. To the Filipinos, especially those in Singapore, please come and support me. I will make sure I win for my country.”
