MANTRAC To Invest $40m In Infrastructure

MantracMantrac Ghana, as part of  plans to maintain its market leadership position, has organised a seminar dubbed the ‘CAT Oil Seminar’ in Kumasi.

It was aimed at sensitising its customers on the correct identification and application of Cat Oils for their machines. The Kumasi seminar is the 3rd of such seminars being organised in various parts of the country to educate customers.

Mantrac is the sole authorised dealer for Caterpillar products in Ghana. Mantrac Ghana and is part of the Mantrac Group, the official Caterpillar dealer in over eight (8) countries across three continents.

In Ghana, the company, since its establishment in 1937, has supported the construction, mining and energy sectors with the provision of quality products from the globally acclaimed Caterpillar Brand.

Head of Product Support, Felix Ofosu Kontoh, hinted that it was the company’s practice to frequently educate its customers on correct application and also identification of genuine Cat Oils.

He lamented the unfair business practices which have led to fake oils on the market but said as a responsible organisation, the company had decided to organise the sensitisation seminar as some of the steps to curb these practices.

The Managing Director Mr. Emad Adeeb, speaking to the media, said the company would within the next two years invest over $40 million in infrastructure to support the construction and mining industry. Key amongst this is the $30 million state of the art Engine Rebuild Center under construction in Takoradi.

He indicated that this would offer huge support to Ghana’s growing Oil & Gas Industry, especially within the Takoradi and Tarkwa enclave.
