Mamponse Agege Presby supports Mampong School for the Deaf

Mrs. Agnes Osei(left)presenting the cash to Madam Segbefia.The Victory Congregation (Mamponse Agege) of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has donated assorted items and cash to the Mampong Demonstration School for the Deaf in the Eastern Region.

The items included rice, cooking oil, toilet rolls, milk, Milo, soft drinks, sugar, soaps, used clothes and disinfectants, and a cash of GH¢5,000.

Mr. Samuel Bampoe, catechist of the church, who led the congregation, said the gesture formed part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the church, which was on theme: “His faithfulness continues to all generations”.

Madam Trudey Akusika Segbefia, the headmistress of the school, receiving the items, thanked the church for the gesture saying, “This is real love shown to us, as government alone can’t do it.”

She said that the school, with a population of about 400 students trains them in  entrepreneurial skills, and appealed to other institutions and individuals to assist the school.
