Madina Kindergarten School Project Takes Off

MadinaThe Chief of Madina, Alhaji Baba Seidu on Friday cut the sod for the construction of a four-unit kindergarten block, for the Madina cluster of schools.

The project initiated by the chief and estimated to cost GH¢90,000 is expected to be completed in six months. The facility, which is being jointly funded by the chief and the La-Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly, consist of classrooms, a library, changing and wash rooms, video conferencing hall and dining area.

Alhaji Seidu, who was assisted by the Member of Parliament for the area, Alhaji Amadu Sorogho and the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Franklin Anku to perform the ceremony, expressed his intense commitment to ensure the successful implementation of the project.

According to him, he initiated the project following a distress appeal by the school authorities for a modern KG block, saying he was determined to protect the children from the present danger the wooden classroom structure posed.

Alhaji Seidu, urged other spirited individuals and philanthropists to support the venture for the benefit of the children in the area.

On his part, Alhaji Sorogho who pledged his support to the project, gave the assurance that he would help in mobilizing resources to ensure the executive execution of the project.
