The Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Jacob F.K. Acolatse, has congratulated the Member of Parliament (MP) of the area, Mr Ebenezer Terlabi, for winning the primaries to represent the party in next year’s general elections.
According to him, the feat would enable the two to continue their collaboration to develop the municipality.
Mr Acolatse told The Ghanaian Times that, the MP had been one of the best politicians he had ever worked with, and expressed optimism that, Mr Terlabi’s re-election would accelerate development of the municipality.
“The confidence reposed in him by party faithful’s would re-energize the assembly’s quest to develop through his expertise and constructive contributions that has helped change the developmental agenda of the area for the better,” he said.
The area, he explained has severe infrastructure deficits which the assembly is trying to resolve.
Mr. Acolatse commended the Konor of Manya and the traditional council for their immense support for the assembly which has brought them this far
“The Konor is performing a fatherly role in the area as he always use the least opportunity to personally seek assistance for projects that are beyond the means of the assembly,” he said.
Mr Acolatse denied any rift between him and the MP saying ‘such issues are just mere rumours to disturb the relative peace the area is enjoying’, adding that “no amount of rumours will break the bond between me and the MP because we are focused on transforming the area into one of the best municipalities in the country”.
He urged executives of the party and other sympathizers to stop airing their grievances on the air waves but rather use the appropriate channels to address them.
