A lotto writer, who allegedly defiled a 13-year-old girl, was on Friday remanded by an Accra circuit court.
Gideon Yaw Nutekpor allegedly after the act, hid the victim under his bed, locked his door and went out.
However, upon his return, raised the alarm that somebody was hiding under his bed.
When the victim was rescued, she was unconscious and had to be rushed to the Amasaman Government Hospital, where she narrated her ordeal after gaining consciousness.
Nutekpor has denied the offence before the court, presided over by Ms Patricia Quansah, but the accused was remanded into police custody until September 3.
Prosecuting, Inspector Grace Bandoh, told the court that the victim lived with her father at Kpobikope, near Amasaman, in Accra, and Nuterkpor also resided in the same area.
On August 10, this year, the prosecutor said at about 12.30 p.m., Nuterkpor lured the victim into his room and had sex with her.
After the act, the Inspector said Nuterkpor forced the victim to go under his bed and went outside for some time.
When the accused person returned, he raised the alarm that somebody was hiding under his bed.
The prosecutor said some witnesses who rescued the victim, found her unconscious and they rushed her to the Amasaman Government Hospital.
Inspector Bandoh said when the victim regained consciousness, she narrated her ordeal to the medical officer and it was also confirmed that the victim had been defiled.
Nuterkpor was arrested and in his caution statement denied the offence.
