LG Electronics, a leading manufacturer of home appliances in the world, has launched a new curved OLED (Organic Light- emitting Doides) television in Accra.
Unlike the straight edged screen of plasma TVs, the new LG 4K OLED TV has a unique feature of a 65 inch curved and 0.7 inches- thin screen combined with clear and quality pictures.
Launching the super brand TV in Accra, the Regional Manager of LG Electronics, Mr. Youngchan Choi said the 4K OLED TV marked the beginning of a whole new era in home entertainment and even best for the coming festivity.
He said the OLED TV was made to provide the best of comfort for homes with first class viewing experience which is comparable to none in the history of plasma TVs.
“It is with a sense of pride that we are able to bring the curved 4K OLED TV into the Ghanaian market and we will continue to expand and improve our industry leading television technology “, he said.
According to him, the OLED TV delivers a peak brightness and a perfect black colour that are compatible with the brightest large screen LCD TVs for TV, movie and video content.
The Vice President of Somotex Ghana, Mr. PranabMohanty said the introduction of the KG curved TV signified the commitment of the company to provide innovative technology, which would create a completely new experience at homes and offices.
He indicated that before it came into the country, the LG 4K OLED TV had received the “Red Dot”, an international award by respected global product testing and certification bodies globally.
“With LG’s ERGS OLED technology, the TV features infinite contrast ratio with deeper blacks and brighter whites than a conventional RGB display. In terms of performance the OLED TV displays are superior”, he added.
The Executive Director of Somotex Ghana Limited, Mr. Nii Ayi Hyde said LG OLED TV was a new category of TV which displayed a wide gamut of accurate colour delivering a more vibrant image with breath-taking detail.
