Lee Manuel Wants A Shot At Banku’s Title

bukom-bankuSpain based boxing campaigner, Lee Manuel Osei has thrown a challenge to the winner of the Braimah Kamoko and John Napari fight scheduled for next month in Accra.

The Liberian born boxer (34-6-0) believes he has what it takes to rule on the Ghanaian scene  looking at the calibre of boxers at the top.

Manuel’s initial ambition is to face the enigmatic Braimah Kamoko who remains unbeaten in over 20 appearances but insists he has not been impressed with Banku’s performance in recent times and would not be surprised if he loses.

“I want to relaunch my career in Ghana. I knew the fans enjoyed my performance the last time i fought in Ghana and coming back to fight the biggest boxing entertainer would be a big event.”

Manuel last fought in Ghana in 2011 against Huseini Kpenze in an ordinary contest.

In 2005, he defeated Adewale Abbey at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex for the Africa Boxing Union heavyweight title and has since fought five more times.

But Manuel insists that he has been active in the ring ever since with his training and is in a very good shape to match the winner of the October fight despite having a preference for Braimah Kamoko.

“A fight with him will be big. He has proved to be superior in the local rings and with very few opponents to challenge him, I think I should be given the opportunity to slug it out with him.”
