The Kwahu-East constituency has inaugurated an Inter-Party Dialogue Committee to deepen the interaction among the political parties and prevent conflict ahead of the December polls.
It was put together by the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) and chaired by Nana Simpeim Owuradu II, the Krontihene of Abene.
Speaking at the inauguration of the committee at Abetifi, Nana Antwi Siaw, District Chief Executive (DCE), advised the citizenry to be responsible during the campaign period.
He urged Ghanaians not to do anything that would create needless tension and confusion.
He used the occasion to counsel the youth not to allow anybody to hide behind them to threaten the peace and stability of the area.
Mrs. Abigail Nkansah, the NCCE District Director, expressed confidence that the December polls would pass off peacefully.
Chiefs, religious leaders, the security agencies, representatives of the political parties and assembly members attended the ceremony.
