Kwabena Agyapong Is Egoistic — Blay

The first vice-chairman of the opposition New  Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay, has questioned certain decisions taken by the party’s General Secretary, Kwabena Agyei Agyapong.

According to him, some of the decisions by the chief scribe were in contravention of the party’s constitution.

Mr.. Blay made the assertion in a reaction to Mr. Agyapong’s decision to ask acting Director of Communications, Perry Okudzeto to proceed on leave and also his appointment of Deputy Directors of Communication for the party.

On Friday, the first vice-chairman expressed shock at what he said were the egoistic tendencies of Mr. Agyapong.

He explained that the General Secretary cannot take a unilateral decision to sack or appoint anyone without the approval of the National Executive Committee of the party of which he (Blay) is a member.

“Kwabena Agyapong is taking so many things for granted; he should know the NPP is not his property” he added.

Freddie Blay believed Mr. Agyapong was usurping powers by taking decisions “which will gravely affect us as a party”.
