Kuuku Dadzie – Ready for Stars challenge

Former Ghana international, Kuuku Dadzie says he is capable of handling the Black Stars.

Dadzie, who once handled the Ghana’s U-17 team, the Black Starlets believes he has the clout to adequately replace Avram Grant following his tutorials under the late Ben Koffie.

The Black Stars coaching job has been left vacant since Israeli coach Avram Grant vacated the position on expiration of his contract with Ghana FA last month.

Mr. Dadzie told Accra-based Green FM over the weekend that “I’ll be able to lead the team without any problem and I believe I can help the team realize not just the expectation of officialdom but that of the fans as well. I know our realistic target for now is to win the AFCON and it is something I can make a personal target because I have what it takes to achieve that.”

“With the support of the players and the FA I think I can help the team. I mentioned the players because they are the ones going to carry out the job. I’ve watched the team on countless occasions and I can confidently say that they are lacking in so many aspects.”

“We have defensive and attacking principles but the team doesn’t apply those things on the field of play and due to this there are so many lapses in the side. These are technical lessons I learnt under the late Ben Koffie.”

A six-member committee was mandated by the Ghana FA to find the next Black Stars coach but according to media reports, the committee has settled on Akwesi Appiah and Willy Sagnol who are to be interviewed this week before a final decision will be taken.-Ghanasoccernet
