Kukuom police hunt for armed robbers

The Police at Kukuom is hunting for Godfred Amponsah and an accomplice, for robbing a farmer of GH¢609.00 at Atekyem, near Sankore, in the Asunafo South District of the Brong-Ahafo Region.


The robbers inflicted cutlass wounds on the farmer, Seidu Ali, 42, and raped his 17-year-old daughter, a second year Senior High School student.


Chief Inspector Augustine Kingsley Oppong, the Regional Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the story to journalists, on Monday in Sunyani.


He said the suspect, Amponsah, alias Kojo Mankuji, and his accomplice, armed with machetes, on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, broke into the room of the farmer, attacked him and raped the daughter.


Chief Inspector Oppong said the police had issued medical forms to the victims to attend hospital whilst investigation into the case continued.  – GNA
