Kufuor Reminds New NPP Executive Of Task Ahead

kuffourFormer President John Agyekum Kufuor, yesterday congratulated the newly-elected National Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the achievement, and reminded them of the task ahead.

In a statement issued from London where he is having a speaking engagement, the former President urged the new executive to further strengthen unity within the party and work hard for victory in 2016.

Former President Kufuor, whose statement was signed by his Spokesman, Mr. Frank Agyekum, asked the new executives to work in concert with their predecessors, and open their doors to and operate an open door policy to make all members to feel welcome.

“They should quickly put aside the euphoria of their triumph, and adopt measures that will ensure victory in the next elections,” he said.

The former President congratulated the party for the successful conference and the elections, adding that “it has enhanced the party’s democratic credentials”.

Former President Kufuor who for the past two weeks has been on speaking engagements in Europe and the United States, resulting in his absence from the party’s conference, was expected home yesterday after meetings at the UN, World Bank, the European Union headquarters and University of Oxford.
