Kumasi Asante Kotoko climbed to second position of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) table after posting a 1-0 win over AshantiGold, yesterday, at the Len Clay Stadium.
A 63rd minute strike from the foot of danger man Yakubu Mohammed was all the Asanteman club needed to go joint top with Aduana Stars on 10 points.
Mohammed, an ex- AshantiGold player refused to celebrate after poking home from a pullout from Emmanuel Gyamfi inside the box.
The Miners fought for the equaliser but luck eluded them while goalkeeper Felix Annan pulled off a magnificent save to deny Shafiu Mumuni a goal.
The game was rained off on Sunday after some heavy rains made the pitch soggy.
It was tied at 1-1.
