This year’s competition has gained momentum as a result of several upsets, with the lower tier clubs battling with the premiership clubs.
However the clash between the premiership clubs has also brought some excitement into the competition as they usually sell out some quality football to spectators.
Among the three outstanding matches would be the crunch encounter between defending champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, and current Premier League leaders AshantiGold, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Kotoko are currently having a torrid season, having lost three games in a row in the premiership, and would come against in-form AshantiGold in a bid to get some good results.
The MTN FA Cup remains the only hope for the Porcupine Warriors as their rise to the top of the premier league has received many jolts.
The wounded porcupines would go against a team that has displayed some great form and quality football throughout the season.
AshGold comes into the game as favourites having conceded just a goal so far in the competition and recorded some great results, including eliminating last year’s finalists, Inter-Allies, in the round of 16 match played at the Len Clay Stadium.
Elsewhere, Medeama would play WAFA at the T & A Park, while the sole Division One side in the competition, Eleven Wise, will travel to Dormaa to face Aduana Stars.
Winners of the game between Medeama and WAFA would face Hearts of Oak in the semi finals, with the competition gradually getting to a close.
The games, at this stage, would be keenly contested as most of the teams would have eyes on the ultimate trophy.
