KUMASI Asante Kotoko and Medeama will lock horns when they face each other at the grand finale of the MTN FA Cup to be played at the Essipong Sports Stadium, Sekondi on Sunday.
The juicy GH₵60,000 for the winner as preparation money for the CAF Confederations Cup is enough motivation for both teams to give out their best to walk away with the giant trophy.
Both clubs have had an impressive run ahead of the finals and would be hoping to win the trophy as their only chance for silverware this season.
Both teams will receive GH₵1000 worth of MTN recharge cards with the eventual winner set to receive an amount of GH₵40,000 while the runners-up receive GH₵15,000.
Supporters of the teams are expected to troop to the venue to support their teams to victory as organisers are eager to have a memorable final.
In another development, head coach of Police Ladies, Mr. Bright Aryeequaye has called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to introduce the women’s FA cup to keep the players active after the national league, reports Jemima Esinam Kuatsinu,.
He argued that the number of matches currently being played in the national league was not encouraging and that the introduction of the FA cup will keep the ladies busy and in shape for the next season.
