Kotoko Demands A Slice Of Nti’s Cash

Kofi_Nti_BoakyePremier League champions Asante Kotoko have officially written a letter to the Ghana Football Association demanding a slice of the
transfer/enticement fee collected by striker Kofi Nti Boakye.

Nti Boakye, whose contract with Kotoko ends today had presented himself as a free agent when signing a three year
deal with Libyan giants Al Ahly.

As a result, the forward signed the deal, enabling him to collect the transfer/enticement fee in the region of
$900,000.

Asante Kotoko, clearly unenthused at the development, has subsequently written to the GFA to demand their share
since technically Nti Boakye was and is still a Kotoko player at the time of signing
the deal.

The club’s interim boss, Opoku Nti has also confirmed that the letter, copied to World governing body FIFA has indeed
been sent.

“Yes we have written a letter to the Ghana Football Association copied to FIFA because Nti Boakye is still a player
for Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

All I can say is that he still has a contract with us and if in any case he wants to go we have to speak to the club and allow him to move on, but he did not do that so we will take him on,” he added.

Newly promoted Premier League side Sekondi Hasaacas has opened talks with head coach Kobina Amissah with a view
to extending his contract.

Amissah joined Hasaacas from B.A. Stars at the end of the first round of the Division One League; replacing Ben
Bessah on a short term contract.

Amissah, who won promotion with Berekum Chelsea a few years ago, also guided Hasaacas back to the top flight
after three years away. The Hasaacas hierarchy is keen to keep him, hence the talks. footyghana.com
