Kotoko concedes league title?

DancunREIGNING league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach, David Duncan has conceded that retaining the Premier League title is out of his side’s hands with rivals already taking a head start in the race.

The champions endured a difficult start to their Premier League title defence leading to the sacking of coach Mas-Ud Dramani.

According to Duncan his team will have to rely on other results to go their way in order to retain their trophy.

“It’s [retaining the title] out of our hands,” he said.

“We can only focus on our games and get the wins but then if the others also remain consistent with their wins it means positions won’t change.

“So all we have to do is focus on ourselves.”

Kotoko is fifth on the league table, seven points off leaders AshantiGold.
