Kotobabi Unity Jhs Gets Assistance

ForewinForewin Ghana Limited, a distribution & marketing company and its mother company, Kawasho Food Company in Japan, have jointly presented furniture and learning aids of support of the Unity Junior High School (JHS) at Kotobabi in the North Ayawaso in Accra

The items included 100 pieces of dual classroom desks, 3,000 exercise books and 30 cartons of Geisha Mackerel.

Mr. Sam Zacca, Head of Corporate Affairs of Forewin Ghana said, the donation was part of the firm’s annual nationwide corporate social responsibility programme, adding that the welfare of pupils was paramount to the company

He said Forewin Ghana had contributed in many areas,  and that the educational sector was one of the areas the company had now focused attention on to support the development of the country’s human resource base.

In addition, he expressed appreciation to Ghanaians for the cooperation offered to the company, and promised to continue to give back to the Ghanaian society through the provision of assistance for social projects.

Dr. Mustapha Ahmed, Member of Parliament for the area lauded the objective of the donation, and urged other firms to emulate the gesture in helping to improve the level of education.

Madam Juliana Ivy Agyekwena, Circuit Supervisor for Kotobabi 19 Circuit, after receiving the items, thanked the firm for the assistance, describing the aid as timely.

According to her, the support had come at a time resources were being marshaled towards improving academic performance in schools in the circuit.
