Kickboxing at Korle Gonno Beach Friday

Bigzie Sports (Wushu Martial arts & Health Organisation) in association with The Ghana Kickboxing Association led by British born Jamaican/Ghanaian, Troy Robinson will organise a kickboxing event in Accra.

The event scheduled for the Korle Gonno Beach Resort on Friday, August 25 will be free of charge.

The organisation hopes the event will be a success as they aim at making the sport a national event with every region competing.

This unique venture seeks to unearth hidden talents and reshape them in order to tap their skills in the sport both on the local and international terrain and as a result yield the country dividends, a statement signed by Charles Neequaye, Communication Manager of the association said.

It will also serve as a channel to widespread the sport as the media plays a major role by the disseminating this honourable course.

Meanwhile, Brimah “Bukom Banku” Kamoko (29-0, 22 KO’s) has said that his opponent Samir Bastie (15-0-1, 14 KO’s), stands no chance of defeating him in the ring.

The pair had their first press conference at the Bukom Boxing Arena last week afternoon as they prepare for the showdown.

According to  Kamoko, Samir Bastie would be an easier opponent than Ayittey Powers, adding that he will knock out Samir in the sixth round.

“Ayittey Powers will even do better than Bastie in the ring. I don’t want any petty fights or insults among fans, I want a decent pre-match hype.

“I want to assure my fans that I will win the fight, I will stop Bastie in Round 6.

The match anticipated bout would be hosted by the Bukom Boxing Arena on September 30, 2017.
